About Us
Practitioners of Oriental Medicine have been treating childhood ailments for thousands of years. At Tree of Life, pediatric patients are seen up until their sixteenth birthday, and are treated at one-half of the adult fees. Gentle Warriors brand herbal medicine is used for a variety of aliments, including digestive and respiratory conditions. Other herbal medicine formulas may be prescribed as needed or designed to meet the special needs of your child. At Tree of Life, we are specially trained and board certified to practice oriental medicine. This licensure includes the prescription and formulation of herbal medicines in addition to the practice of acupuncture and its related techniques. Since the 1700s, Japanese acupuncturists have used a specialized acupuncture technique for pediatric patients--Shoni Shin ("little person's needle"). Shoni Shin tools are used to gently rub, tap, and press acupuncture meridians and points, without the use of needles. The safety and comfort of your child are our primary concerns while restoring him or her to health. Children find Shoni Shin to be pleasant and never painful. This method is highly effect for the conditions listed below. Cupping and dietary recommendations may also be incorporated in the treatment plan designed especially for your child.
